OOC: This thread is occuring slightly before/ During the Sacrifice Thread and will at one point actually merge with it.

The War Room, It existed within the Subbassement of the Mansion it was here in it's confines that the X-men gathered to Prepare to leave on missions and it was here that those few that were within the school Gathered. The only one that should have been there that wasn't was Dawn Holbrook, she had run off for some reason with her Brother and with the way things were going in the World Scott figured that it just wasn't intelligent to be running around in the middle of Nowhere without contacting the people you worked with.

Beyond that Scott felt that since the attack everyone's focus was off almost afraid data had been Taken including the Xavier Protocols that in and of itself scared Scott within those files were the abilities of every mutant on the planet and how to circumvent them Scott himself had used that knowledge against a being that had taken over Xavier that called itself Onslaught. That same information could lead to the deaths of most if not all Mutants on the planet. It was why he had called the meeting it was why he and his obviously Pregnant Wife had called the X-men that were on active teams together for a meeting to see what could be done and what they had discovered what they had found out was less than good.

“From what I have discovered from Various contacts developed in the field, Particularly Anthony Stark, Not only we have been attacked I am quite certain that this was meant to disrupt groups such as our selves in general though they only came for data and nothing more.”

It was Hank that was as always wanting to debate a trivial fact but he was the one most used to repairing the various technological devises within the school next to Katherine Pryde he was without a doubt the most intelligent being in the school though his blue furred form was a graphic counter.

“So then as they have this data we can assume that they can use the knowledge meaning that any of our friends people and allies could be in danger meaning we need to locate them all and bring them back in one piece.”

It was going to be a tough situation but it was not unknown to the x-men they had gone to the grind a number of times but Scott felt the normal pressure getting his mind ready the stress easy almost clearing his mind making it easier to see the options and stratagems before him. Stress was almost a catalyst for Scott it was when his mind worked best when his plans were best and as much as he hated to admit it he enjoyed the stress of the field.

He looked at Jean for a moment he hated having to leave but with what was happening he had to move and make the world safe he didn't want his child to be born in a war zone or worse.

It was another day, another mission. Rogue was called to be a part of the oncoming mission. Like all X-Men, they were to report to the War Room before going on a mission. So, Rogue did her duties as an X-Man and reported to the War Room. It was no surprise to find Cyclops along with Hank there before everyone else. It seemed that Rogue was the third person to join the party. She wasn’t sure who was all assigned to the mission but she knew she wasn’t the last person to arrive.

Not too long ago, a couple had broken into the home of the X-Men and stole some data from cerebro. As to who these people were, it was unknown and valuable information was in there hands. What their intentions were, what they were using the information for, God only knew. Rogue only prayed that the team would be ready for the next attempt from whoever tried to steal vital information from them.

For how the story was told Jean and the Professor were the only two that stood against the assailants. It was rather a big surprise that two strangers off the street were able to get past the world’s most powerful telepath and a Phoenix empowered telepath. What was extremely strange was how the two strangers were able to get the information and Jean was unable to recall how it happened.

Rogue placed her hands on her hips as she stood in front of Scott and Hank. It was mission time. It was time to go and kick some butt.

“Where t’ o’ fearless leader?”

Xavier wheeled himself into the War Room. He had not wanted to come here for this briefing. He had created the Xavier Protocols as a way to help. If he or another mutant lost control of themselves or there powers. Like he and others had done in the past, but now they were in the hands of strangers. Strangers that he had let slip away cause he had not tried hard enough to stop them.

They had been mutants that he had let slip past his sight. They should of been living among them not breaking into his home. An taking one of the most dangerous of there files. He came to the table looking down his bald head in his hands. He was unable to look his X-Men in the eye knowing that Jean, Scott, or Hank Mc Coy The Beast. These three knew him the best they would read the stress no the out right fear and hurt in his eyes if they were given the chance.

Fear of course cause of what was taken and the hurt cause young mutants had done it.

“So then as they have this data we can assume that they can use the knowledge meaning that any of our friends people and allies could be in danger meaning we need to locate them all and bring them back in one piece.”

Xavier looked up at the sound of Scott's voice. He knew if they lost just one of those friends or allies it was his fault not once, but twice over. One for writing down there weaknesses and two for not better protecting the information in the first place.

“Where t’ o’ fearless leader?”

He had to smile a little at Rogue's readiness to go into battle. "Before you speak Scott I wanted to say a few words." He took a breath and wheeled his chair so his back was to them still being unable to look them in the eye. "First of all I've sent you into many missions to save mutants that were in danger, but now mutants are in danger cause of me, we all are for that matter. For that reason I would like to come with you. Unless Scott feels my spot would be better filled by someone else."

He took another breath and swallowed wetting his throat before speaking again. "Secondly once the Xavier Protocols are safely back where they belong. I will be asking for a vote on ways to improve there protection or on possibly having them destroyed." He fell silent and waited for whoever might speak next.

Classic Rogue, thats all Scott got out of it. But it wasn't as simple as point and stomp. Jean didn't know who had broke in or even how the information had been taken. At the moment it broke down to a simple fact find everyone that could be in danger and warn them or get them to come to the mansion where at least their could be safety in numbers if nothing more.

It was perhaps luck that had Ororo back in the States with her Husband T'chala known to some as the Black Panther. So Scott had contacted her over the phone in the hopes to get her help during the situation. Beyond that Kurt was also in town both could be useful in gathering the groups of Mutants that had been team mates and friends from around the world

"Before you speak Scott I wanted to say a few words. For that reason I would like to come with you. Unless Scott feels my spot would be better filled by someone else."

It didn't particularly surprise Scott that the professor decided to speak after Rogue had spoken up. It wasn't like Xavier to come to these meetings for no reason but Going on a mission when they didn't know what was going on. It seemed to Scott that him being there would in the end be troublesome plus their were very few x-men at the school as it was and Scott didn't want to leave it unprotected for very long which was why Jean, Logan and a few others wouldn't be out looking for others.

“Professor, as we don't know where all our friends are we might be gone for a while and we can't leave the school unguarded. If it comes to combat you are at a disadvantage your abilities are powerful but there are those that you aren't very effective against I personally think it may be more intelligent for you and Jean to stay behind and locate everyone and try to contact them if you can't get ahold of them we will go to them.”

Scott didn't feel the need to say anything else, get right down to it their was nothing to do or say until they located the scattered inactive members of the X-men and other mutants that had sought have with them.
